Running payroll takes me about five minutes and the automatic tax filings give me real peace of mind. Onboarding new hires, health benefits, and 401(k) all live in one place. For a small team it is by far the easiest payroll system we have used.

The software itself is genuinely great and easy to use. The problem is support - when a tax notice issue came up it took weeks of emails to get a real answer. If nothing goes wrong Gusto is fantastic; when something does, getting help can be frustrating.

Perfect for startups and small businesses. The interface is clean, employees love the self-service app, and contractor payments are painless. The recent price increase stung a little, but it still does more out of the box than most competitors.
